Yesterday West Texas Free Press headquarters had two rain barrels get full in a couple of hours. This editor bailed that precious water onto two trees before midnight and the rain subsided in the early morning hours. This is the third time in the last 30 days those rain barrels have gotten full.

Clarendon City Council In "chaos"!
Clarendon is a town about the size of Shallowater,around 2,000,near Amarillo. Now three city council members,including one just elected,have resigned. Small town government in Texas is as "off-the-wall" as it gets as government goes these days.

Another citizen with courage has surfaced in east Lubbock. Floyd Price is now the subject of a recall petition. Price has been walking around as a member of the Lubbock County "gestapo" Sheriff's Office and at least one citizen believes he's not needed. Mr.Price was an Affirmative Action "quota" appointment with LPD and is now a part time "LSO gestapo agent". This recall petition needs plenty of signatures so it will send a message that "gestapo" agents in elected office is not what Lubbock needs.
