LP&L Uproar Grows Silent

  The IHateLp&L Facebook movement merged with LP&L For All. Since  that merger the "howling" about the absurd conduct at LP&L has become muted. This editor encourages all to use less water,less electricity,move elderly relatives into spare bedrooms and try to make the best of a rotten situation until city hall comes to it's senses. I also advise people to "boycott" the Ranch House downtown as well as McDougal Properties. Recall petitions should be signed and maybe two "jokers" on city council will face voters later this year.

Rain Barrel Report

  Yesterday "Junkyard Row" got a downpour that filled up my rain barrels one and a half times. It appears that Lubbock's drought goes for weeks at a time and then a downpour occurs. I've started storing rain water in large Ozarka bottles as well as orange juice containers. This editor advises all to consider rain barrels to avoid watering trees and yards. Rain barrels are located at the Lubbock Arboretum at 4111 University,797-4520.
