WT Free Press has learned that City of Lubbock was informed recently of an "asbestos" problem at an LPD building. It's thought to be the Police Academy. Thursday Lubbock City Council let out a contract with Minnix for asbestos removal for over $200,000. City of Lubbock officials refused to comment.
