Those left to cherish his memory include wife, Deedra Barber; children, Aaron, Ashley, Jennie, Louis, and Sean Barber; his mother, Johanna Shaffer and husband Steve; grandchildren, Benjamin and George Irvin; and sister, Stacy Comer, her husband Chris, and their children, Kennedi and Jackson.

This editor believes drivers in Lubbock drive too fast and do not need to. Mr.Barber was killed near Denny's at 50th&Slide. The Comer family must be grief-stricken and I feel their pain. No words could ever soothe anyone's grief after a tragedy of this nature.
